"The version with Linux, we call “GNU/Linux.” It is OK to call it “GNU” when you want to be really short, but it is better to call it “GNU/Linux” so as to give Torvalds some credit."

I have dozens of hours of field recording audio files that need to be collated. I used to wonder if I need to rearrange and remaster them to look like a decent recorded field recording album, but after my exposure to classical music I shouldn't do that at all. Well I think, most of the recordings are actually pointless. It's boring for those people who enjoy high-brow bandcamp paid field recording albums, because I'm not going to make an in*am-style cover to make it feels niche to normies.
    Perhaps I'll make them streaming.

Now I have a few days to live near the Alps region so I have the chance to make a lot of recordings around here. My plan is:
    - Waterfalls near the Mont Blanc massif
    - Some very ordinary sounds of the woods at night
    - Sound of water flowing in any state in the Alps region
    - Maybe insects
I think everything been recorded will be very close to everyday life vibe, and I have absolutely no intention of summiting any of the mountains here. I don't want to spend much on climbing gears, so I'll just pick normal weather peaks to summit, like the easy hiking I completed in Monte Bre a while back.

Swiss art students are also quite fond of this kind of "urban landscape" recording initiates. It's a shame that near the Alps or Monte Blanc you see they still making this.

Btw, I think I'm going to do a lot of recordings in some parts of Germany in Sep, and I should have a Sennheiser shortgun mic ready to go by that time.

Yesterday I did a night recording in Valaise (near the place in the picture). Sadly, I found that this place is full of trains and motorbikes, so you really have to find a very secluded and hidden place to record something meaningful…
