1. Normie anthroposophy, "spirituality", astrology users (only read Steiner, Swedenborg etc.). The
dumbest. They will upload very ugly, disorganized pdfs to libgen.is which are
directly exported from epub (with the Times typeface). Because they don't have knowledge about modern computers, and are completely unaware of aesthetics, functionalities etc.. It's a true torture when I accidentally downloaded these pdfs.
2.1 Normie right-wing users. The same as what described above.
2.2 Elite right-wing users. Some of them are really good at typesetting beautiful pdfs, highly aware of and responsible for what they have made. And there're also many ardent publishers. The one with the most decent aesthetics (and know what real efficiency is) is Pax Aryna. These users usually have acquainted with mysticism, Jung etc. Know how to spread pdfs on the archive.org. But there're also large number of meaningless pdfs produced by certain publishers. I guess they're just very crazy and eager to spread some works…
2.3 Left-wing / devoted marxism users. I don't know their behaviours on processing pdfs. Their marxists.org is a good html source.
2.4 Anarchism users. THE typesetter archetype. Very good at producing decent (and color-less) in-print booklets/brochures (Tiqqun etc.) They have many well-organized multi-formatted text libraries: theanarchistlibrary.org, so common sources are already shared in all-formatted forms (absolutely open-source), refined flyers and brochures uploaded to libgen.is. Lack of perception on colors, obviously don't "know" art or music.
Best functionality & lowest artisian. Seems like nihilism, objectivism. They destroyed individuality in typesetting activities and pushed efficiency to the extreme…
3. Computer science users. They can't live without markdown, so they put all "books" on github pages etc… and they seem only read text books, very highbrow to them. They appreciate beautiful LaTeX pdfs, but too lazy to make artistic, personalized pdfs themselves. They're consumers [*].
4. Logic / mathematics users. The most decent and witty. Sometimes they attach very useful tocs inside pdfs. They like djvu format from which you can't copy anything. Also, I can't stand a default LaTeX pdf (with very large page paddings).
5. French philosophy or literature users are really stupid and even disgusting. [1] They can't live without adobe acrobat, MacOS etc. Most of the pdfs are processed by adobe acrobat with disgusting OCR.
EVILEST group.
6. Regular philosophy students / users. They don't know how to monochromize, because they don't use linux, they use a Windows for their whole life, so their computers may slow, and they don't pursue saving small pdfs, so don't care about large / grey pdfs.. and don't bother to address this issue, I guess. They have abandoned their lives.
7. Art students. They don't seem to read e-books, or maybe they just don't read books at all.
Outside the online pdf industry (I guess):
1. Un-pdfized sage users, i.e., HTML chads. Like this:
http://opsopaus.com/OM/BA/ETP/ . I guess many gutenberg users don't read pdfs, they only use HTML+physical books.
2. Elite "spirituality", magician users. Outstanding organization of HTML texts. thelemapedia.org, hermetic.com are good examples.
3. Txt users. They are also palemoon / tor etc. users. They directly read gutenberg txt files… maybe.
[*] Consumers of mathematics students/profs' pdfs but producers of computer science markdown books.
[1] They have ruined Dante pdfs.
