Is there a way to make eww work well when posting on vichan without needing to rewrite eww to make it able to handle the hidden fields, which set by vichan:
https://github.com/vichan-devel/vichan/wiki/your_request_looks_automated#1-some-browsers-do-things-wrong ? Vichan's spam settings make me headache, palemoon even been rejected sometimes.
At least palemoon and eww need to be supported.

>>82 I've become curious about why
eww doesn't work with it. The functionality seems completely normal (I've skimmed through the code implementing it), namely using the thread page that'll be updated after a post is made to generate a hash internally, , so a spammer is identified by his not really using a real browser.
We don't need to care about the expiry things, they're irrelevant.
The hash, call it
hash is generated every time a new post is made and is written into the webpage, together with some salt (
board.uri,
id,
current_page) another hash,
ahash is computed upon posting.
So the browser doesn't need to do anything. Once the post is made everything is done by vichan. Furthermore if you're a
mod vichan doesn't even check whether you're a spammer.
The only possibility is that
eww refuses to send some information to the server. I think debugging won't be hard, you just need to observe the
POST request that
eww makes when it posts. Palemoon should be more easy since it comes with a webdev tool.
Upon reading the code I can now even post with
curl.

>>83 Maybe try disabling unicode:
$config['spam']['unicode'] = false; Possibly
eww has an awful unicode support, so that some unicode characters are translated to ascii upon posting. I think it's highly probable.

>>83 >eww refuses to send some information to the server Actually can't even do mod login on eww or palemoon as far as I can tell. mod login should need to use a more complex authentication method, maybe some cookies.
Vichan relies heavily on cookies, but palemoon doesn't use any cookies. So theoretically even if the login is successful, a refresh will get you kicked out.
>curl It may even be possible to make a vichan client for Emacs, lol.

Museums like to take an old yellowed book and make a metal stand to put it in a glass enclosure, which is perfectly fine, I think. But when it's not accompanied by an electronic version of the book nearby that can be read or searched in full, it means that the museum is just condescendingly showing off its collection without any intention of sharing anything substantial. I really don't understand why no museum in the world transcribes the documents it collects, and prints them for visitors. A few words of introduction are meaningless.

>>110 So a
better concert hall should have their corresponding scores of all the pieces they're going to perform for downloading prepared, people can print them instantly (even paying for them is acceptable) using a printer they prepare.
Few days ago I was going to a concert at the Lugano LAC, saw a musically uninitiated audience in the front row, apparently due to her ignorance of the programme brochure (there were also some complimentary insertions that led her to think that all the pieces were over), assumed the end at the interval at the intermission, then she left straight away. Well, during the performance she even once took out Shazam and then quickly switched it off. My explanation for this is, I think it's a normal action for a swiss audience, and there may be more. Obviously I totally disobey a lot of the conventions associated with concert halls and therefore don't despise her, I'd just be sad about it.
So I guess what makes me most uncomfortable with decent places like these two, is something about their conventions and the condescension they show when information isn't fully disclosed.

The phenomenon of the existence of ytb frontend softwares is "pleasing" but also discouraging. Contribute to an open source project that tries to do good for privacy or privacy-focused users is cringe, yes, they are literally based on shit services/companies like G, because in the end any time people waste on these things is pointless. So again, all the time people spend on the privacy front is effectively wasted. The solution to this is fairly easy, we need more people with real brains to be inherently opposed to the use of services such as ytb and also ANY privacy frontend, and to reject any content disseminated by ytb. But for a world that places such an emphasis on the power of co-operation (this including the open source movement even free software movement), this rejection will only occur on certain individuals, such as myself, and some individuals who reject the internet . One day I will no longer use ANY content distributed from ytb users, and that definitely includes all privacy frontends, which is actually all based on ytb (the based here doesn't mean technically based, but user and content, so of course invidious is included). I can't stand the stupidity of everyone still circling around Dogshit like ytb. This is not about privacy or "Anonymity", this is about a life of essential dignity.

"Normies" BWV 1080 real deepswarm 08/26/24 (Mon) 01:19:39 No. 126
Pretty funny to see imageboard users who are actually normies pointing out that other people are normies. They just those real degeneracy normies who like Japanese culture and maybe reading manga and having waifu and all that, and the people they think as normies, they play instruments and go outdoors, they hiking, running, don't need to use any imageboards at all. Here I pick only a part of people who are considered normie and that is clearly misunderstood. The only real criteria for identifying someone as a normie (modern age) is whether or not that person listened to avant-garde music as a teenager, and whether or not they have continued their musical interests and gone further in adulthood . LMAO.

I’m really sad about the fact that summer prevails again. Im very abhor the idea of summer and all its properties and objects. I remember Varg once wrote about his aversion towards summer, maybe spring in lyrics, this is why I relate this much with Burzum’s music. I know, I’m not the child of spring, and summer… but misery summer gives me a familiar taste of depression so I become more talkative and seemingly active, extroverted, when in fact my mind was being driven to death by the terrible heat - the degeneracy of nature. Every details of life, is, actually predictable, when it’s raining, in summer night, you remember all the past stories suddenly once again just like 1 year ago, and 1 year ago of 1 year ago…

DAMN! I really need to cut off my head to be able to calmly learn acoustics. I'm getting ADHD for trying to learn these basic, boring stuffs… Let's quote Xenakis:>The latter. In my youth, when I was preparing for examinations >at the Polytechnic School and had to study mathematics and >physics for hours, in addition to my musical studies and my >reading, I had, figuratively speaking, to tie myself to my chair, >but my mind was still elsewhere. Now I have acquired so much >self-discipline that I can concentrate my attention on my work. If >the telephone rings I concentrate on what I'm saying for the >duration of the conversation and then continue composing >where I left off. How boring science can be to learn.
